Chef Sean Reeve steers the chalkboard menu, playfully creating smart, engaging dishes informed by the abundance of the Pacific Northwest.

Dining With Us.

We want to immerse our guests in our passion for hospitality, and share with you the bounty that exists in our own backyard.

The full menu is always available a la carte, but Chef designs the menu to be shared, so the real magic happens when you hand over the reins and leave it to us!

  • Our Chef curates an experience for two that pairs food and drinks in a seamless six course meal.

Wine, Beer & Cocktails

  • No matter the varietal, vineyard, or style, The Okanagan never seems to disappoint. Our list has the opportunity to feature new winemakers from all over BC making waves who are sometimes still undiscovered! We also have a soft spot for Natural and International Wine, and carry a small off-list of natural wines curated by our Beverage Director, Claudia Fandino.

  • This city may have been the first in Canada to get craft beer right. In a relatively small area of the city you’ll find a number of breweries making beer that holds its’ own against some of the best. Creative, technically sound, and downright delicious.

  • Guided by our bar manager, Patrick Bruder, our cocktails are informed by the DNA of the classics, while highlighting local spirits and seasonal ingredients. Our back bar is full of local gems from all over BC.

Critical Reviews

Reeve is the rarer bird, enjoying his time out on the floor meeting customers and making sure they’re having a good experience.

— Lindsay Williams-Ross, Vancouver is Awesome

The interiors eloquently blend the industrial and rustic vibes of the up and coming Railtown neighbourhood with the friendly and intimate dining experience.

It’s funky, it’s buzzy,
and all the cool kids are talking about it.

— Condé Nast Traveller

The Mackenzie Room rightly describes itself as a “hidden gem,” as it really is waving the flag for culinary ambition in an area not overly encumbered with competitors. It boasts a laid-back vibe, a strong urban look and a blackboard menu listing dishes that focus on local, seasonal ingredients.
If you come as a table or four or more, you can have the whole menu at a set price. Be sure to start with one of their cocktails (Werewolf in Vancouver, anyone?).

— Andrew, Bookenda Review

Elevated west coast and North American plates with wonderful dabbles into European and Asian ingredients. Top notch service with a blackboard of constantly rotating dishes! One of the places to beat in the current scene.”

— James , Google Review

Place is great (it really is the best restaurant you have never heard of). The place does really need to be enjoyed shared through one of the tasting menus (I want it all, or just the two of us), so go for this and budget a few hours to fully enjoy.”
